surprising this series just keeps getting better and better. It is so hard to actually put it down. I wonder if there are really girls who are this catty and manipulative in the real world....What am I saying, of course there are. I just can't imagine sometimes with the things these girls say and do. I definetly get my fix with these books though. I was so happy when Reed started sticking up for herself in this book. In the last few, she kind of disappointed me with the way she always gave into what Noelle and the other Billings girls wanted her to do but she actually went against what Noelle said several times in this book which. I am starting to like Josh, maybe even a little more then do I dare say it... Thomas.. Why was she even with him? Especially when he was dealing drugs, and then what he did to her at the party.. Thomas murderer is arrest. Untouchable Private Book 3 Kate Brian Julian Peploe Books Reviews
Right when Reed Brennan was accepted into the Billings Girls' clique and had finally gotten over her ex-boyfriend (if you could call him that) Thomas Pearce, she discovers that Thomas, the guy that she truly loved, was found dead. Now Reed feels guilty for ever moving on or thinking the worst about Thomas. It's hard for Reed to mourn his death since everyone around her is watching her every move and emotions. It doesn't help either that Thomas's parents couldn't care less that their son has passed away--or how Taylor, Kiran, Noelle, and Arianna are all acting very strange. Especially Taylor, who seems to be crying more than Reed over the death of Thomas.
Being at school doesn't help Reed's problems either. She can hardly focus on her school work, since her mind is always on Thomas. There are detectives there investigating Thomas's death, guessing that he was murdered, and interviewing all of the students about Thomas and his past.
But there is only one person that can actually keep Reed sane, and that's Josh. He's the only that actually makes her laugh now and she feels happy whenever she's around him. Except for the fact that he was Thomas's best friend and he did share a room with Thomas. Right when Reed begins to fall for Josh, she discovers things about his past that not only could hurt their relationship but also be the answers to all of the questions that she has.
Kate Brian does it again in this third installment of the PRIVATE series. UNTOUCHABLE delves deeper into the lives of the students that attend Easton Academy. Who knew a private school could have so many secrets? With another cliffhanger, the only thing the reader can think about is, "why is the next book so far away?"

Kate Brian's series is about a private school, Easton Academy, in Easton, Connecticut where a girl, Reed Brennan leaves her small town Croton, Pennsylvania life and her drug addicted mother and her loving father to attend this school on a scholarship. The first book was the introduction into the Easton Academy and how Reed managed to move into Billings House which reminds me of a cult or a sorority. She becomes a Billing House girl now but it's not that easy.
When I finished this book, I was amazed that she ran away from Croton High School to a private, expensive, stuffy academy of rich girls who feel unloved by their own parents but are spoiled beyond belief. The students at Easton act like adults and should take punishment like adults as well.
I felt that Reed was becoming one of Noelle's followers at the Billings House. This series sends a negative message to it's readers by having Reed conform to her new friends and their lifestyle of excessive living. While I find Kate Brian's writing easy and entertaining and more interesting than the premiere book, I get the feeling that this book is send the wrong message to it's female readers about school life in general. For about 90 percent of them, they are not attending private boarding schools and they are not going to have their lives.
I just kept wondering why Reed after what happens in this book would want to stay at Easton. Sure, it would be easy to go home and face your mother but the characters in this book all have unsavory sides to them. You don't know who's telling the truth or keeping secrets. While it might happen at Croton High School, she would have at least her father and brother as support.
This was a breath realigning, exhilarating novel! I can nit wait to read the next book, and finish off this series. The only bad part was that the book left you wondering on the very past word!
I love this series! They are great, filled with drama! This book was even better than the other two I have read!!!!
Purchase as a gift for a friend's daughter. She enjoy the book/magazine.
Amazing. So much unexpected drama and intense moments and reactions from the main characters. This book is like the mom of the series Pretty little Liars!! Next book here I come-Confessions!!!
This series is really good if you are into teen romance and drama. There is always something going on and you are constantly at the edge or your seat wanting to know what happens next. The book was very clean and nothing wrong with it. Cover is actually very soft in my opinion. Very good choice. )
