Best book I have read for awhile.
well written, held your interest all the way through, wanting to keep reading to see what the end was. I WOULD THROUGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
Delighted to have discovered this author. This is a wonderful story. I was completely absorbed by it and have susequently read some of his othe works. This one is my favourite so far.
Lovesong was my first Alex Miller Book. I found it enjoyable to read, it had a deep sadnees that drew me in and I was anxious to get to my reading each night. Looking forward to reading another book from this writer
I loved this book it was a great read and really interesting. It was a really sad book but not depressing
While Alex Miller's writing is excellent and I felt that I was in Paris, the plot for this story did not engage me at all. After all the drama and anguish, on & on, to have a child, on their return to Australia the relationship between Mother and child was not there. I found the story tedious.
I found this book really really fascinating - something quite different 7 i found it hard to put down.l I really enjoy Alex Miller's writing - he has an excellent vocabulary & turn of phrase. I am now onto my fifth book written by him.
It was an interesting story about the lives of various people and how things unfold in unexpected ways. You can draw parallels with your own life experiences. The book was easy to read and the storyline maintained your attention throughout.
